Bonita Springs Target Store Evacuated Short Time Because of Minor Fire
10/04/2006
Naples, FL - The Target store in Bonita Springs was evacuated for a short time Wednesday evening because of a fire. "Somebody tried to set a rack of clothes on fire", said Bonita Springs Fire District Captain Joseph Lawhon. "We don't know if it was a customer." The call came in at about 5:20pm. A security guard put the fire out almost immediately with a fire extinguisher. The store was evacuated and remained closed for a little more than a half hour. A store manager declined comment on the fire, referring questions to the corporate office. No one could be reached that evening at the corporate office.
